Project Name: Quad Homes
Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu
Area: 3360 sqft x 5 floors
Team Credit: Ar. Pasupathi
Year Of Completion: April, 2026

Client Brief
The client envisioned homes that felt uncluttered, fluid, and adaptable. They did not want walls or spaces to feel rigidly fixed, but rather to support flexible living. The idea was to create apartments where living, dining, and outdoor zones could merge naturally, while still allowing intimate spaces like bedrooms to retain privacy.
Design Process
Quad homes evolved through a study of how spaces could serve multiple roles without compromising clarity. By extending balconies, integrating micro courtyards, and allowing living areas to expand into dining or multi-purpose zones, the plan embraced fluidity. Every element was considered strategically to enhance natural light, openness, and functional balance.
Design Challenge
The primary challenge lay in balancing the demand for additional bedrooms with the need for flexible, breathable spaces. Many typical apartments sacrifice openness for more rooms, but this project aimed to reverse that logic. The design had to preserve efficiency while still offering adaptability, ensuring that the flexibility itself became a unique architectural feature and a defining advantage.
