The central idea behind this project was to design a house that looks modern while still celebrating the richness of traditional architecture. The massing followed a parts-to-whole approach, where clusters of different volumes came together to form a harmonious layout. At the same time, the design introduced voids that bring pieces of nature directly into the living spaces, making the house feel fresh and alive.

The building sits firmly on the site, with its solid external walls creating a fort-like appearance. Inside this strong envelope, however, lies an eclectic and warm domestic world. The house rises two storeys high and follows a centralized plan. At the heart of the layout is the dining area, which connects the public spaces in the front with the private rooms at the rear. As a result, movement flows smoothly throughout the house. In addition, a series of hidden and intertwined pathways link different areas, giving residents private routes as they progress through their home.

The material palette plays a major role in shaping the character of the interiors. American Walnut Veneer and Burberry Beige Italian Marble form the base, while brass accessories add subtle highlights. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow generous amounts of natural light, which softens the tones of the interiors and opens the rooms to views of the lush greenery outside. Furthermore, skylights channel daylight deep into the house, casting a glow that enriches the natural warmth of the wood.
